Pastors' Conferences

Zambia, Africa

Moses kept his promise by packing 1 weeks material into two days! The program began just after 9:00 and lasted till 4:30 - with a break for lunch. Moses began asking why is Africa so poor? With so many natural resources, oil, diamonds, gold - why are the people so overwhelmingly poor? The answer is spiritual. When the church is full of corruption, that filters to the congregation and out to the street. When pastors use gimmicks in the church to extort money from their congregation - they are serving money - which is an idol...and idolity has taken over. Pastors who teach salvation by works are probably not even saved themselves -- how can they teach what they do not know! Satan has used the religious freedom here in Zambia as an open door for false teachers of every kind.

However there is hope. When a nation leaves tradition and returns to the Bible, God will bless them and the blessing will flow to their families, communities and country. Tomorrow we will finish justification by faith alone and the difficult passages in James. The lunch was a big hit and allowed everyone to stay put and attentive for the long session. You can see the huge line that snakes from outside to inside the auditorium. Ladies cooked on open fires sometimes using wheel hubs to elevate the pots. People were eating at tables, on hillsides, on steps and all over the place. As much as people loved the food their real comments were directed toward the message. Many teachers have come before but they have never heard a message like this!

Moses spoke to a packed house on the second and last day. He reinforced justification by faith alone in Christ alone and covering the difficult passages in James. He said that James was written to believers and therefore James is speaking about justification for reward, (not justification for salvation) teaching that doctrine learned (faith) must be applied to earn reward. People were so excited and happy.  They were approaching us saying "we have never heard this teaching before - when can you come to our area to teach us?"
